Carver Announcements for Sept 18, 2017

Hello Carver Families!

We hope you had a great weekend. This email is intended to keep parents updated on reminders, activities, and announcements. Be sure to let the office know if you change your email address.

See below for a few reminders and new announcements. Also, be sure to check Carver's webpage for updated daily announcements.

  1. Mid-quarter reports are now available online at Home Access. In order to be more Earth friendly, Carver has gone paperless with mid-quarter reports and grade cards. You can access mid-quarter progress reports beginning September 15 at 5 pm. (Grade cards will not be accessible until the quarter ends in October.) To access mid-quarter reports:

  • Log in to the home access district website: https://homeaccess.sps.org/homeaccess/
  • Enter your user ID and case sensitive password. If you do not know your user ID or remember your password, please obtain a handout with your home access ID and password from school. This is the same user ID and password used to update demographics during schedule pick-up in August.
  • If you have not logged in before, you will be asked to create two security challenge questions before proceeding. Please create the questions and supply the answers.
  • Click the GRADES icon at the top, center of the page.
  • Click on the IPR (Interim Progress Report) tab located on the left side of the page.
  • You will now be able to see each of your student’s courses and average grade for the course.

  1. PTSA is off to a great start. If you have not joined PTSA yet, please feel welcome to join our next meeting in the library at Carver on Oct. 9th at 6:15 pm. If you need more information, please contact PTSA via email at CarverPTSA@outlook.com or on facebook at Carver PTSA.

  1. PTSA’s big fundraiser started last Wednesday with the Major Saver Cards. The Major Saver packet and money is due by Sept 22. Please contact PTSA via email or facebook with questions.

  1. Carver school picture day is October 19 at 8 am! Packets and information will come home in October.

  1. Carver students will again have the opportunity to visit Washington, D.C. during spring break through WorldStride Discoveries Organization. For more information, email David Rice at djrice@spsmail.org.

  1. Recognizing your child’s teacher or SPS employee is easy! Click on the link here or find the form on the SPS website!

  1. Flu Clinic is coming to Carver on November 8 at 8:30 am. Consent forms will be sent home with your child closer to the clinic date. Please contact Nurse Sadler for more information.

Have a great day!
