Carver Families!
We
hope you had a great weekend! This email is intended to keep parents updated on
reminders, upcoming activities, and announcements. Be sure to let the office
know if you change your email address. Be sure to check Carver's
webpage for updated daily announcements.
1.
Please be sure to check grades online. The
automated phone call alerting parents of a grade of D or F will be sent tomorrow
evening. Please check grades with your student this week and encourage them to
turn in missing assignments. Call or
email if you would like a printed copy or assistance with checking grades.
To access grade cards and mid-quarter progress reports, use the directions
below:
· Log
on to the home access district website:
https://homeaccess.sps.org/homeaccess/
· Enter
your user ID and case sensitive password. If you do not remember your password,
please obtain a handout with your home access password from school.
· If
you have not logged in before, you will be asked to create two security
challenge questions before proceeding. Please create the questions and supply
the answers.
· Click
the IPR GRADES at the top, center of the page.
· Click
on Report Card or Progress Report.
· MP1
stands for Marking Period 1 (1st quarter), MP2 stands for Marking Period 2, MP3
is for Marking Period 3 (3rd quarter).

A BIG thank you to PTSA and
parents for supporting our teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week!!
3.
Carver PTSA voted for offices at the May 14 meeting
in the library at Carver. The office of secretary is still open. If you are
interested in being PTSA secretary or would like more information on joining
PTSA for next year, please contact PTSA via email at CarverPTSA@outlook.com.

All
students at Carver will turn in chromebooks, chargers, and cases on Monday, May
21, during 3rd block. Any student issued a Kajeet Hotspot will be responsible
for turning in the hotspot on May 21. Carver students enrolled in summer school
will be issued a chromebook on the first day of summer school.
5.
If you haven’t purchased a yearbook and would
like to have one reserved, please do so this week! You can purchase a yearbook
in the office or online at yearbookforever.com.
The cost for a yearbook is $18.
6.
Please make sure to contact Nurse Nancy to
pick up all medications prior to May 22 at 11 am. Per Springfield public school
medication policy, school nurses are not permitted to send unused medication
home with students, it is necessary for an adult to pick up all medications. All
unclaimed medication will be discarded on May 22, 2018 at 11:00 am.
7.
The last day of
SPARC tutoring will be Thursday, May 17.
