We
hope you had a great weekend and snow day! This email is intended to keep
parents updated on reminders, upcoming activities, and announcements. Be sure
to let the office know if you change your email address. Be sure to check Carver's
webpage for updated daily announcements.
1.
Boys Basketball for February 10th
has been rescheduled for February 20th at 5:30 pm. Boys Basketball
for February 12th has been rescheduled for February 13th at
5:30 pm.
2.
PTSA meeting for February 12 has been cancelled
because of the weather. If you need more information, please contact PTSA via email
at CarverPTSA@outlook.com.
3.
Valentine’s Day is approaching! Any large Valentine
gifts brought or delivered to school for students will be held in the office
until the end of the day. Students will be sent a note reminding them to be
sure to get the item before leaving school. Balloons or large gift items are
not permitted on the bus and will need a parent pick-up.
4.
Carver PTSA is collecting Boxtops until March
1. Please help support us by donating boxtops to your student’s favorite
teacher. A teacher in the contest with the most boxtops wins a
Pie-in-the-Face! J

PTSA
Dodgeball Fundraiser Tournament is Friday, February 16, at 5:30 pm.
There will be two tournament brackets this year: Students and Adults. Parents
and older siblings are welcome to participate in the adult bracket. All
participants must complete a flyer team form and signed waiver. Click

Mid-Quarter is here! Please
be sure to check grades online as Carver has gone paperless with mid-quarter
reports and grade cards. Call or email if
you are unable to access grades or would like a printed copy. To access
grade cards or progress reports, use the directions below:

Applications for the spring semester of
Careers in Conservation (CIC) are now available. The CIC program is only

No school on February 19. SPARC is offering a
program designed for middle school students if you need care for your student. Click

9.
As part of the IGNiTE teaching and learning
initiative, the school district asks for student, parent, and teacher feedback
on the use of technology for student learning. The survey will take
approximately 15 minutes to complete. Click

10.
Sports physicals will be offered again
through Trudi’s Kids on the following dates: February 20, February 21, March
27, and May 3. If your student will need a sport physical for the late spring
or fall, please call 523-6800 (school office) or 523-6830 (school nurse) for

11.
Yearbooks are on sale in the office or online
at yearbookforever.com. The cost for a yearbook is $18.

Summer School EXPLORE program is now
accepting summer school enrollment. Click

13.
Basketball season has started! Games start at
5:30 pm. If your middle school student plans to attend without you to supervise
them during the game, they must have a ride at Carver by 8 pm to be able to
attend future games. If the game runs late, the ride may come in at 8 pm and
sit in the stands for free. Elementary students are expected to have an adult
with them at all Carver games. SPARC offers a game day pass with tutoring,
face-painting, and food on game days for students from 2:45 pm until the start

14.
