Carver Announcements for Aug 20, 2018

Hello Carver Families!

This email is intended to keep parents updated on reminders, upcoming activities, and announcements during the school year. Be sure to check Carver's webpage for updated daily announcements.

1.        Need some Carver Spirit Wear? Order t-shirts, sweatshirts, polos, and jackets to show your Cougar spirit at: https://www.promoplace.com/224756/stores/carver

Orders are due August 31.

2.        Need after school care for your student or just want to avoid the afternoon carline? Sign up for Y-teens after school care at 862-7456 or at the Ward or Jones YMCA buildings. Y-teens is available from 2:45 pm – 6:30 pm each school day.

3.        Give your input to Carver PTSA with this quick one minute survey. Click here for the survey. If you need more information, please contact PTSA via email at CarverPTSA@outlook.com or on facebook at Carver PTSA.

4.        Is your student walking home from school? Students walking home from school will be dismissed from school after car riders have been picked up from the car line at approximately 3 pm. The walkers will remain in the café with supervision until the car line ends. Thank you for understanding as we try to dismiss over 760 middle school students safely!

5.        If you have not completed the online registration update, please be sure to check to go online at:

1. Log on to the home access district website: https://homeaccess.sps.org/homeaccess/

2. Enter your user ID and password.

3. Click “Registration.” Click “Update Registration.”

5. Click “New” in the center of the screen.

6. Using the +  (plus sign), make any changes needed to the information. If no changes are needed, proceed to step 7.

7. In the +  Other Additional Information area, please be sure to check “yes” in the area “lives with guardian.”

8. Be sure to SAVE all areas, even areas not changed. Click “I AGREE” and then submit. All required questions must be answered and saved before you can submit.

6.        Please be sure students bring the chromebook back to school each day charged! If you haven’t purchase the damage waiver online, please call the office and we can send information home.

7.        All students enrolled at Carver will be able to eat a school breakfast each morning for free. Click here for information about Breakfast in the Classroom Benefits. Breakfast in the Classroom (BIC) will be available from 7:57 am – 8:06 am for each student in their 1^st hour classroom.

8.        Medications administered at school must be delivered to the school nurse by a parent/guardian. Please contact Nurse Nancy Sadler, at 523-6830, for more information.
