Welcome
back to school! Please see below for important back-to-school information for
this week!
1.
We look forward to seeing our A-K seated
students at school Monday for the first day of seated classes for cohort A-K! We
can’t wait to welcome our L-Z seated students for the first day of seated
classes on Thursday!
2.
As a reminder, the morning and afternoon car
lines and morning and afternoon buses may run behind schedule the first few
days! Please be patient as we get our
students to and from school safely this week! If you have questions about
bus transportation, please call 523-0500.
3.
If your student did not get a schedule in the
car parade last week, please check home access on the chromebook for the
schedule. If your student has a cell
phone, you might suggest taking a picture of the schedule. Students will
report directly to first hour when entering the building in the morning. The building will
open at 7:30 am. This is a change from
last year because of COVID. Please have your student remain in the
car with you until the building opens at 7:30 am. Do not drop your student off
in the parking lot.

in the carline and on Battlefield, all students
walking home from school toward Battlefield Rd will be dismissed from school after
the car line has ended. For the first few days of school the carline may
last until around 3:15 pm. Students walking home using the trail can leave at

Breakfast in the Classroom (BIC) will
continue at Carver! All students
enrolled at Carver will be able to eat a school breakfast each morning for

Picking up your
student in the afternoon carline? We will be dismissing students differently this year for
the carline. This year, we will dismiss students at 2:55 pm by student name

by the adults supervising. To speed up the carline time, please have your student’s first and last name displayed on paper on
your dash. Please use LARGE letters.

Medications administered at school must be
delivered to the school nurse by a parent/guardian. Please contact Nurse Nancy

can find a list of email addresses at this link (click here) or at sps.org.
In sps.org, please select ‘Carver’ from the list of schools at the top of the
page, then select ‘About’ on the Carver page. You can find the list of teacher
emails listed under staff directory.

Parents! Need help
accessing and checking online learning with your student??? Click
here for a guide created by our librarian for quick “how-to” items for parents.
Please be sure to reach out with
questions as we navigate online learning. Ask your student to canvas inbox
(email) his or her teachers and read the answers from the teacher together or
email the teachers directly (teacher
email list here)! Teachers are available via email or the librarian is
willing to help via email, phone, or Instagram. At Carver, we want you to know
we are in this together and we want to help you and your child during this
virtual learning experience at home.
