Carver Announcements for Aug 13, 2018

Hello Carver Families!

This email is intended to keep parents updated on reminders, upcoming activities, and announcements during the school year. When the school year starts, be sure to check Carver's webpage for updated daily announcements.

1.        We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Wednesday, Aug. 15.  As a reminder, the Carver car line and Carver buses may run behind schedule the first few days. Please be patient as we get over 750 students to and from school safely!

2.        All students can pick up a new schedule copy on Wednesday morning from 7:30 am – 8 am in the café or gym.  

3.        If you have not completed the online registration update, please be sure to check to go online at:

1. Log on to the home access district website: https://homeaccess.sps.org/homeaccess/

2. Enter your user ID and password.

3. Click “Registration.”

4. Click “Update Registration.”

5. Click “New” in the center of the screen.

6. Using the +  (plus sign), make any changes needed to the information. If no changes are needed, proceed to step 7.

7. In the +  Other Additional Information area, please be sure to check “yes” in the area “lives with guardian.”

8. Be sure to SAVE all areas, even areas not changed.

9. Click “I AGREE” and then submit. All required questions must be answered and saved before you can submit.

4.        Walking home from school? Students walking home from school will be dismissed from school after car riders have been picked up from the car line at approximately 3 pm.

5.        Give your input to Carver PTSA with this quick one minute survey. Click here for the survey. Carver PTSA will at Open House next week, so be sure to stop by and support the great activities they do for our school community. 6.        On August 16, all students will be issued a Chromebook to use at school and home. Be sure to review the care instructions on August 16 and then purchase the damage waiver online. Chromebooks must come back to school each day.

7.        Breakfast in the Classroom (BIC) will continue at Carver! All students enrolled at Carver will be able to eat a school breakfast each morning for free. Click here for information about Breakfast in the Classroom Benefits. Breakfast in the Classroom (BIC) will be available at Carver from 7:57 am – 8:06 am for each student in their 1^st hour classroom.

8.        Medications administered at school must be delivered to the school nurse by a parent/guardian. Please contact Nurse Nancy Sadler, at 523-6830, for more information.

9.        Need some Carver Spirit Wear? Order t-shirts, sweatshirts, polos, and jackets to show your Cougar spirit at: https://www.promoplace.com/224756/stores/carver (Orders are due August 31.)
