We hope you had a relaxing long weekend. This email is intended to
keep parents updated on reminders, upcoming activities, and announcements. Be
sure to let the office know if you change your email address.
1.
Grade cards will be posted on Oct 19 by 5 pm. Be sure to check
grades online as Carver has gone paperless with mid-quarter reports and grade
cards. To access grade cards, use the directions below:

Enter your user ID and case sensitive password. If you do not
remember your password, please obtain a handout with your home access password
from school.

If you have not logged in before, you will be asked to create two
security challenge questions before proceeding. Please create the questions and
supply the answers.

Click the GRADES at the top, center of the page. Click on Report Card.

Please join Carver PTSA! All parents are welcome to join our next
meeting in the library at Carver on November 13 at 6:15 pm. If you need more

3. Carver
school picture day is October 19 at 8 am! Order forms were sent home last week.
You can also order online at WagnerPortraitGroup.com or by clicking here. To
order online, use the “Shop” tab and enter the password: CARVERMS. Be sure to
send a receipt on picture day or let the photographer know you already paid.
Picture retakes will be November 30.

Communication between school and home is important for your
child’s educational success. We encourage you to come in for a parent
conference beginning the week of Oct 23. Please contact one of your child’s
teachers to schedule a conference!
5.
As part of the IGNiTE teaching and learning initiative, the school
district partnered with BrightBytes, an educational research and analytics
organization to help the district learn more about technology use for student
learning. All are encouraged to participate in a brief electronic survey
(approximately 15 minutes) by clicking
here. The survey will be open through October 13.

Carver students have the opportunity to visit Washington, D.C.
during spring break through WorldStride Discoveries Organization. For more
information, email David Rice at djrice@spsmail.org.

Recognizing your child’s teacher or SPS employee is easy! Click on

Flu Clinic is coming to Carver on November 8 at 8:30 am. If you would like your child to receive the flu shot, please sign and return this consent form to Carver or contact Nurse Sadler for more information.

Our PTSA Fall Scholastic Book Fair begins November 13 through November
17. Please email CarverPTSA@outlook.com to
volunteer for the book fair!
